I'm using Ubuntu 14.04 dev with gcc-4.8 4.8.2-16ubuntu1 and
libgcc-4.8-dev is not a dependency of gcc-4.8 anymore. This causes that
modules like the NVIDIA driver or VirtualBox are not building anymore.

After upgrading from Ubuntu 13.04 to Ubuntu 13.10 x64 the screen always stays
on at standard brightness. After specified time it does not go blank. It may
cause quicker LED degradation.
