touchpad can be reactivated if disabled and then enabled in the system
settings.
This behaviour could already be seen 13.10.

I have found a possible workaround.
For two days now I haven't had spontaneous monitor/resolution swithing, here's
what I have done.
Immediately after boot I launch terminal and do the following:

The problem seems to be with the window ID: instead of picking up the
gnome-terminal window (id 0x0166) I clicked on it picked up some
strange unnamed 1366x741+0-0 window at +0+27, probably belonging to

I too face the same issue. As a result the mouse keeps flickering and at
times becomes almost invisible due to the very high rate of flickering,
affecting the normal use of the system. I feel this is a critical issue.

Im runnning Precise in various qemu-kvm virtual machines with Spice.
The ScrollWheel stops working in the virtual machine as soon the
spice-vdagent gets started.
After killing the spice-vdagent process the Scroll Wheel works
