I am not able to update my Ubuntu software. Updates are downloaded but
not installed. Also, when I start Ubuntu, I get error messages. But,
Ubuntu is working normally.
Afraid that I will not be able to update my software ever.

I upgraded my system to the utopic stack. Unfortunately, after cleaning
old config files I rebooted to find that X couldn't be started.
Essentially the symlink /etc/X11/X got deleted. I recreated it
manually (reconfiguring xserver-xorg-lts-utopic also works).
I guess this is a known issue (bug
I encountered the same problem when upgrading from 14.04.1 to 14.0.2
(Well, not yet released but from -proposed).
No X session, I had to recreate the symlink...

I run Ubuntu Gnome 14.10 with Gnome 3.14 installed from gnome3-team's
staging PPA as suggested above. I also installed updates from xorg-
edgers. Even after this, graphics are still more sluggish than they were
on 14.04:
- HD video playback is slow and shows artefacts,
- background transparency
Yes when I try to install from add. drivers it just stops an d reset to
default. On using apt or synaptic it says broken pqackages un met
dependacies.

thank you for your support. I did know about the altgr+c option. However, it is
unacceptable for touch-typists.
Also, not every keyboard has the altgr key and, anyway, the 'c combination is
the standard combination for
brazilian typists, so it would be very nice to have an
@Leandro: did you try the fix I proposed on #61?
Using uim and a custom .Xcompose will solve your issue with 'c (and all
others), no patch required.
