Title:
I have a Viewsonic VX2475Smhl-4K attached with a DisplayPort cable to a
Gigabyte GTX 970 (nvidia-358 driver, ASUS Z97-A, UEFI boot with CSM
disabled), and it requires `xrandr --auto` after being power cycled.
That's easy to set to a keyboard shortcut when logged in, but harder in
xflock4. Even
my spike branch that averts the problem is here, based on 0.17.1:

This branch doesnt have unit tests, and needs a bit more work on the new
internal interfaces, so I'll probably have to rework the branch to get it to
land in lp:mir.

Seems to be working, for people running Ubuntu 15.10, the location of
the file (20-intel.conf) with the contents that Georgi mentions above is
/usr/share/X11/xorg.conf.d (rather than /etc/X11).
You can check if SNA is enabled by:
cat /var/log/Xorg.0.log | grep SNA

OK, I was going to publish a new bug report last night after it happened
again with Kodi (bios update didn't fix it), but I got a notice of new
updates which included a kernel 4.2-19 and display manager update, so
hopefully it is a known issue that was fixed there.

+1 on a ThinkPad T430s with Intel graphics.
