Seth, Thanks a lot for the comments. I had mistakenly installed a wrong version and now the touchpad works fine. Even Fn+F3 disables the touchpad as expected. There are a few issues like two-finger zoom and the touchpad LED (supposed to be turned on when the touchpad is disabled) but this is a

quarara, Does you laptop's touchpad works like a basic mouse? Please post your dmesg and also 'xinput list'. Mine was detected as a mouse before installing this patch and pressing Fn+F3 was showing an empty notification while the touchpad was still functional (enabled). -- You received this
