Okay, how can I link this to the kernel packages so them people look
into it ? It seems to be a known and resolved issue, so the patch maybe
should be integrated upstream.

I cross posted my report to KDE where I was asked to add this info that
explains the issue well.

Using Kubuntu 11.04 beta2.
In systemsettings, I go in Desktop effects, check the Enable destop effects
option and Apply.
That produces an error message that says it's not possible to enable Desktop
effects, and that I should check my xorg config.

On Natty Beta1, the Touchpad is not recognized, says synaptics driver is
not installed correctly but since xserver-xorg-input-synaptics is
installed, it seems it should work.
ProblemType: Bug
DistroRelease: Ubuntu 11.04

Seems like it doesn't collect anything else.

Public bug reported:
Binary package hint: xserver-xorg-video-intel
After default upgrade to Lucid RC, xorg is very slow. It appears to be hightly
consuming cpu.
If I run a film in vlc, vlc will crash saying xorg provides insufficient
ressources.
** Affects: xserver-xorg-video-intel (Ubuntu)
Tried the GDM fix with no success.
After removing xserver-xorg-video-intel, I get X working and usable (except
screen resolutions that are not complete). So the problem is really related to
this package.

Just installed Karmic from RC desktop CD.
Install goes fine, the live CD boots and X works with no issues in the install
process. Once the install is finished, we go for first reboot.
All seems normal until GDM tries to load. At
lspci -vvnn
