Oh sorry, this was already done.

My best solutions to the MythBuntu/XBMC/Kodi usecase:
1) Run a MythBuntu/XBMC/Kodi-session without any desktop at all! They're in

2) Running a really minimal WM that doesn't try to manage screens at all like

I can no longer reproduce this with latest Xorg driver/mesa/drmlib! It's
fixed in userspace somehow, not kernel.

I can no longer reproduce this with latest xorg-edgers! Xorg-edgers
hadn't been updated in a while and then there was a big push around 2nd

stopped happening, so the fix seems to be in userspace. No idea what to
backport...

You can use Unity 2D as a workaround, doesn't trigger this even with
compositing.

I can now reproduce this consistenly I think:
Install Ubuntu Precise

Switch to user 2
Switch to user 1
Then when you have unlocked user 1's screen with your password and it redraws
the desktop I get a GPU

This might be related to reclocking the GPU because when I tried dynpm

This is sometimes triggered by a fast user switch. But not every time, and

I guess the bug is in userspace, it sends a bad command stream or something?
