I have seen this issue about 5 times in the last week.
System is functioning normally; X crashes resulting in a odd interlaced
graphics display (I'll take a picture next time it happens).
/var/crash/ contains a zero size file for Xorg.

desktop across both the internal 1920x1080 monitor and an external
1920x1080 monitor connected via HDMI.
