updated Jammy), with the editor antialiasing set to "grayscale", the

file (to use two screens). Then the random logouts began with certain
applications only (Skype and VirtualBox most notably). The solution

5100 (and occurs with fedora 14 and 15). The external USB mouse has the
same bug described here, while the touchpad does not. Since several
people have mentioned that they use Logitech wireless mice, I tested a
wired USB

i have mother board ecs p4m800pro-m, and i dont know how install the
driver o the video card.. before with ubuntu 9.04 they show the screen
on 1024×768 but now only show 800x600

_dan_: Yes I see. But you didn't state your graphic card and the bug was
hickjacked by people with ATI cards and this bug. Most of the info there
is Ati-related, and every comment but yours look related to this problem
with the ati drivers.
Sorry but it seems like the ati problem is way more
_dan_ this bug is *ati* specific, and it doesn't affect small windows.
It's solved with a workaround for the radeon drivers, so your nvidia bug
is a different one.

Turning KMS on solved it for me.
_dan_ those bugs where ati specific before you commented on then. You
need to search or open a nvidia related bug.

mmm, now I'm running xserver-video-intel-2.4 from siretart ppa, and it
is working fine with 2.6.31 kernel (no more 99% cpu usage).
And in my dmesg I can still see:

After recent updates, my mouse is working again wothout problems
I don't know the root of the problem, so marking this bug as invalid

I tried Option SwapbuffersWait true, but it didn't work for me.
I tried 2.9 version from ppa, but happened again :(

After upgrading to karmic, my system is unstable.
1. kernel 2.6.31 makes my resolution settings to 800x600, and after
login (I can't choose any major), I can't stay there 5 minutes. In

Please, note that where xorg.conf you can read 'vesa' it was 'intel'
when Xorg started. (I wanted to probe later, but it didn't work (again
intermitent screen, after closing session))
