I tried removing Removing xorg-nvidia.conf and the following setups:
- nomodeset:
hdmi: no display
bmc: just a fsck message (blinked sometimes) - no splash / no X
sosreport:
sosreport-u-DGX-Station-A100-920-23487-2531-000-nomodeset-2023-09-04-fvncavf.tar.xz
- nomodeset +
@vanvugt,
I have tried:
GRUB_CMDLINE_LINUX="vga=normal nofb nomodeset"
But the output is still only seen in the BMC Display.

The only way I can use my computer is by installing gnome session fallback, and
logging in via classic no effects.
With nvidia-173 installed problems are worse than with nouveau drivers.
This effects 12.10 and 13.04

The same is happening to me.
Using Ubuntu 9.10 beta 64bit running on a USB pen drive. My system is an Acer
laptop with a AMD Turion64, 1,5 Gb RAM, ATI Radeon Xpress 1100 128 Mb. Xorg
eats up 100% of CPU since booting throughout the session.
Im almost sure it didnt happen with the alpha6 release.
