Just checked: is still an issue. Also, I assume you're running FGLRX as
well? I noticed that LightDM didn't use my wallpaper for its background
after I enabled the driver. That happen to you or should I look into my
system?

wallpaper feature I'm speaking of is specific to the unity-greeter for

Installing then uninstalling FGLRX makes
I had the same issue, I got around it by installing synaptic and telling
it to reinstall both libgl1-mesa-glx AND libgl1-mesa-glx:i386. Hope that
helps you.
Also, is anyone actually working on this bug?

I was attempting to test this bug:

gtk. After I found that there were no fixes (still), I went back to
jockey and uninstalled FGLRX. However, upon rebooting, I found that
Unity would not load. Applications
I have 64bit Oneiric and this bug happens for running Calibre and for
when I (frustratingly enough) try to open the preferences window for
VLC.
