Another problem is when users logout. Sometimes the segmentation fault
happens when the users logout as well, since the video reinitializes.

As a workaround to anyone dealing with this:
Change the value in KDMRC that allows for retrying to start kdm several times,
and this will work around the bug until a fix is made. Now, this only affects
me once in a great while. Still bothersome though and would like an update on
what's going
This bug report is nearly a month old with NO update from any developer.
Please update the bug report with some insightful, as this is feeling
like there is no hope for this bug.

I'm operating a MultiSeatX environment for a school for low cost
computer solutions using the ATI
Not sure if this helps at all, either, but I get repeating messages in
the kern.log that state this. There are hundreds every minute.
BCCSStudentAdmin kernel: [ 3632.465451] [drm:r600_audio_bits_per_sample]
*ERROR* Unknown bits per sample 0xf using 16 instead.
Also, the daemon.log says this:
