The flickering appears always for any pclk 20, independent of screen resolution or refresh rate. I could reproduce with 2 different boards: 945GME and 82945G/GZ. On the first one I had to add newmodes forcing the pclk = 20 in order to avoid the flickering: xrandr --newmode 640x480_20 20 640
