I just upgraded Arch (-Syu) with xfce4-settings ignored in pacman.conf, then
upgraded xfce4-settings from the aur using James'
[url]https://aur.archlinux.org/packages/xfce4-settings-blank-screen-fix/[/url]
and all is well (tested KVM switch, tested turn off monitor), thanks James!

Haven't had any problems since installing the patch from #53. I plan to
upgrade Arch next weekend but haven't seen a new release of
xfce4-settings (4.12.0-3).

Xfce resets TV
The patch in #53 is working for me. Arch Linux 4.3.3.2-ck. Asus Radeon
R7-240 video card (using the hdmi port), Asus M5A88-M computer. I can
now switch via k-v-m to other pc's, can turn off power to monitor for
extended periods and all resumes when power is back on or k-v-m is
switched back to the
