The patch in #53 is working for me. Arch Linux 4.3.3.2-ck. Asus Radeon R7-240 video card (using the hdmi port), Asus M5A88-M computer. I can now switch via k-v-m to other pc's, can turn off power to monitor for extended periods and all resumes when power is back on or k-v-m is switched back to the
