This looks promising. I have upgraded from 12.04 to Quantal. Before my
configuration was working with no external monitor and now it doesn't
work anymore.
I noticed that the Xorg.conf file should actually be xorg.conf file.
Which maybe means I was not using it before the upgrade. At least I can

delivers 2.9 ones. I tried a ppa package several times which broke my
all installation with no more LAN (so for a HDTV PC quite annoying:) )

here is the log linked to the xorg.conf file attached previously.
What I d like understand is if there is any benefit of waiting for some
patches already in the pipe, or if this issue is linked to a bug or if
it's a configuration problem.
