After installing nvidia-313 from xorg-edgers ppa I got a new problem
that my BIOS didn't everything recognize my discrete NVIDIA card. I
don't think it's caused by the driver, but it's just a coincidence. So
anyway I started researching it and

For a few months I have been facing the same problem. I can't fully use
my NVIDIA discrete card. I have Alienware M17xR3 laptop with GTX 580M
and I'm using bumblebee with optirun and primusrun. From NVIDIA settings
I can see that PowerMizer performance level switches only
I'm experiencing this bug as well. The system freezes and I can move the
mouse around. Some times I can change to tty1-tty6, some times I can't.
I tried to change to kernel 3.3.6 and 3.3.7 and this problem disappears.
For two days no freezes. But other problems appeared. My camera stopped
working,
