On the face of it, it looks like a memory ordering issue. It would be
interesting if you could give the drm-intel-nightly kernel from
ppa:mainline a test.

Hi Jvan, did your system actually lock up, requiring a hard power
cycling? That would have happened prior to when this dialog popped up.
It appears that it locked up once, but reset itself. Then it had the
same lockup again and the log ends. So it's not clear if it did fully
lockup or just
