Public bug reported: Ok I've reported this bug before but without uploading info.
System has been freezing randomly for a year now or more. Since I first upgraded from 11.10 to 12.04. Random freezes, sometimes with lockedup screen, keyboard and mouse snd sometimes just screen and keyboard. I can sometimes enter the tty terminals, and reboot from there. It also happend when I tried to use Fedora 17 - very strange.... Happens a few times a day, and cannot be produced by will. Hope the info below can help understand my starting point.... ***** ******************************* Here is an output of my graphics: ******************************* mosh@mosh-desktop:~$ /usr/lib/nux/unity_support_test -p OpenGL vendor string: Intel Open Source Technology Center OpenGL renderer string: Mesa DRI Intel(R) Sandybridge Desktop x86/MMX/SSE2 OpenGL version string: 3.0 Mesa 9.2.0 Not software rendered: yes Not blacklisted: yes GLX fbconfig: yes GLX texture from pixmap: yes GL npot or rect textures: yes GL vertex program: yes GL fragment program: yes GL vertex buffer object: yes GL framebuffer object: yes GL version is 1.4+: yes Unity 3D supported: yes mosh@mosh-desktop:~$ **** mosh@mosh-desktop:~$ lshw -c video WARNING: you should run this program as super-user. *-display description: VGA compatible controller product: 2nd Generation Core Processor Family Integrated Graphics Controller vendor: Intel Corporation physical id: 2 bus info: pci@0000:00:02.0 version: 09 width: 64 bits clock: 33MHz capabilities: vga_controller bus_master cap_list rom configuration: driver=i915 latency=0 resources: irq:50 memory:fe000000-fe3fffff memory:e0000000-efffffff ioport:f000(size=64) WARNING: output may be incomplete or inaccurate, you should run this program as super-user. mosh@mosh-desktop:~$ ***** *************** Computer specs: *************** Processor: Intel Core i5-2300 2.8GHZ-3.1GHZ' 6MB Cache 95W LGA1155 Motherboard: Intel Bearup lake DH67BL H67 LGA1155 uATX Internal Memory: Kingstom DDR3 4096 MB 1333MHZ CL9 Hard Drive: Samsung HD105SI 1TB 32MB 5400rpm EcoGreen F3 3/5 SATA2 -
