I reported a similar bug as #1388511. Is it the same bug?
There's a workaround suggested at
http://askubuntu.com/questions/496401/how-to-upgrade-from-xserver-xorg-
lts-saucy-to-xserver-xorg-lts-trusty
This involves removing the entire GUI, upgrading the distro, and
reinstalling the entire GUI.
Assigning to mlankhorst as per
https://blueprints.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+spec/core-1311-lts-upgrade-
testing
** Package changed: update-manager (Ubuntu) = xorg-lts-raring (Ubuntu)
** Changed in: xorg-lts-raring (Ubuntu)
Assignee: (unassigned) = Maarten Lankhorst (mlankhorst)
** Also
The upgrader refuses to upgrade because it cannot calculate an upgrade
path for xorg-lts packages.
