[Ubuntu-x-swat] [Bug 1875957] Re: Random freezes for 1 second

I figured the drivers I installed for Lutris might have been a problem. So I tried to undo what I did back in November when I set this puppy up for a LAN party. I unstalled a few things $ sudo apt remove nvidia-driver-440 libnvidia-gl-440 libnvidia-gl-440:i386 $ sudo apt remove libvulkan1

I want to check to see if the driver confusion (comment #2) has been resolved as that could cause unpredictable behaviour and freezes. Please: 1. Reboot to get a fresh system. 2. Wait for the problem to happen again. 3. After the problem happens again run: journalctl -b0 > journal.txt

Sorry, I have to take that back actually. OBS does use the same Platform, and it is org.kde.Platform/x86_64/5.14, but OBS does not suffer from this however. -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu-X, which is subscribed to xorg-server in Ubuntu.

I tried uninstalling and reinstalling the Nvidia driver. As of now it looks as if the problem has been fixed. I will report tomorrow if the problem has reappeared. Thank you for your help. -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu-X, which is subscribed to

Weirdly your kernel is using the nvidia-440 driver, but Xorg is using the 'modeset' driver. That might be the problem. Certainly it's what I would try to fix first... Can you try uninstalling and reinstalling the Nvidia driver? ** Package changed: xorg (Ubuntu) => nvidia-graphics-drivers-440
