This could very well be an issue with the amdgpu kernel module or the kernel itself. 20.04 uses kernel 5.4 I fixed my situation (similar) by upgrading to 20.10 (beta) which uses 5.8 packages. Now, my power management and suspend/resume actually work. My laptop (different than the nitro): Acer
