Public bug reported: Binary package hint: xserver-xorg-video-intel
After upgrade to Karmic, when the laptop is powered (connected to AC) and set to "blank screen" when laptop lid is closed, if laptop lid is closed for a long time (a couple of hours or more) then when I open the screen again the computer is frozen - the screen does not turn back on, not even if I try to switch to a different VT and nothing I do except power cycle the computer can bring it back. I have tried CTRL-ALT-DEL (with and without DontZap enabled). I have not tried SysReq. I do not have screensaver enabled, so I don't know if this is related to the screensaver, but I suspect that it doesn't. I will try to enable the screensaver though to test. This may or may not be related to bug #359392, see comments 609 and later. I'm using the latest intel drivers (2.7.99), Xorg (7.4) and kernel (2.6.30-9) from Karmic. ** Affects: xserver-xorg-video-intel (Ubuntu) Importance: Undecided Status: New -- Computer freezes and does not respond when returning from "blank screen" https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/390633 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu-X, which is subscribed to xserver-xorg-video-intel in ubuntu. _______________________________________________ Mailing list: https://launchpad.net/~ubuntu-x-swat Post to : ubuntu-x-swat@lists.launchpad.net Unsubscribe : https://launchpad.net/~ubuntu-x-swat More help : https://help.launchpad.net/ListHelp
