It is located at /var/log/Xorg.0.log
also attach the output of `lspci -vvnn` command.

ok so, for the longest time, via hadn't released any drivers, thus, the
openchrome project was started... well, thats not what i'm here for,
originally, i found out when via
oh, wait so, you're saying that, they released it, but, ubuntu wont
support it? NOW THEY WONT SUPPORT THEM, FIRST IT WAS VIA THAT WOULDNT
SUPPORT LINUX WITH THE REAL DRIVERS... THEN THEY WRITE THEM, THEN THEY
WRITE A NEW UPDATED 2D AND 3D DRIVER, AND STILL NO GO... AND NOW UBUNTU
WONT SUPPORT
The Ubuntu doesn't support original VIA driver.
We can help you only in openchrome driver, so use it.
Your hardware should be supported with openchrome driver:
