@pitti:
I'll upload a xserver-xorg-input-vmmouse package that fixes vmmouse_detect in
kvm in a couple of minutes.
For now, here is the udevadm info for the vmmouse device.

Can someone please try this?
sudo tee /etc/udev/rules.d/69_xorg_vmmouse.rules EOF
ACTION==add, ENV{ID_INPUT_MOUSE}==?*, ATTRS{description}==i8042 AUX port,
PROGRAM=/usr/bin/vmmouse_detect, ENV{x11_driver}=vmmouse
EOF
sudo udevadm trigger --subsystem-match=input --action=change

@pitti: the udev rule works great for me in kvm.

I tried the rule myself in KVM with /bin/true as PROGRAM (I don't have
Marc's fix yet), and with fixing to ACTION==add|change, and it works
well.

Timo Aaltonen [2010-03-02 20:55 -]:
someone should create an udev rule for vmmouse.
Unfortunately I can't test this, since vmmouse_detect fails in kvm as well, but
something like this should work:
ACTION==add, ENV{ID_INPUT_MOUSE}==?*,
PROGRAM=/usr/bin/vmmouse_detect,
someone should create an udev rule for vmmouse.
** Summary changed:
- should depend on -vmmouse?
