** Description changed:
Binary package hint: xorg
On a Dell Latitude X1 with on its internal display with a native
resolution of 1280 x 768, the second most important mode of 1024 x 768
is not detected:
$ xrandr
Screen 0: minimum 320 x 200, current 1280 x 768, maximum 4096 x
I'm tagging this bug with 'ubuntu-boot-experience', because in my case
of dual monitors gdm is choosing an 800 x 600 mode rather than a 1024 x
768 mode, which looks very crude to my eyes. There are even GUI elements
of gdm that don't fit on the screen because if this.
