it's not a bug, there is a setting to disable the touchpad while typing.
(though that doesn't seem to work in 12.04/12.10)

I have the same problem. 'hide mouse on typing' wasn't even on. I have a
Toshiba Satellite. I updated to the latest lucid just yet. Let me know

Hi Bryce,
I have avoided the problem by disabling hide mouse on typing, I still
believe this to be a bug though as the mouse definitely stops moving (not
just hidden)
