Hum, ok. So you can boot without issues with usplash disabled. Then it's a problem in plymouth and not in xorg. Please open a terminal and execute the following command: apport-collect 595352 ** Package changed: xorg (Ubuntu) = plymouth (Ubuntu) -- Cannot boot from hard drive
