Ok, to clarify: this happens with the radeon driver too. I try to start unity since the first alpha versions, never got it work. The only thing that has changed is that I get an Info in the latest dailys that my hardware is not supported (ATI X600M). Compiz on 10.10 runs smooth with the free

Off the top of my head we use XGrabServer in various places and if the driver supports NPOT textures we use mipmapping. This list is obviously incorrect as if these limitations really applied you could not use the fglrx texture_from_pixmap implementation to actually write a compositor. I wouldn't
