Public bug reported: Binary package hint: xorg
When I open a menu for the first time, it appears corrupted for some ms (see the attached screenshot) Then it is displayed as it is supposed. So this is just a small glitch, but it's really annoying. It seems to be a kind of "texture loading" issue because it only appears the first time I open the relative menu (there is no glitch when I re- open it). This happens with or without compiz (even on GDM, with the "session menu chooser") ProblemType: Bug DistroRelease: Ubuntu 11.04 Package: xorg 1:7.6~3ubuntu11 ProcVersionSignature: Ubuntu 2.6.38-7.35-generic 2.6.38 Uname: Linux 2.6.38-7-generic i686 Architecture: i386 CompizPlugins: [core, bailer, detection, composite, opengl, decor, mousepoll, vpswitch, regex, animation, snap, expo, move, compiztoolbox, place, grid, imgpng, gnomecompat, wall, ezoom, workarounds, staticswitcher, resize, fade, unitymtgrabhandles, scale, session, unityshell] CompositorRunning: compiz DRM.card0.DVI.D.1: status: disconnected enabled: disabled dpms: On modes: edid-base64: DRM.card0.LVDS.1: status: connected enabled: enabled dpms: On modes: 1440x900 1280x854 1280x800 1280x720 1152x768 1024x768 800x600 848x480 720x480 640x480 edid-base64: AP///////wAyDAAAAAAAAAAPAQKAJRd4Co7wl1hRjSgkUFQAAAABAQEBAQEBAQEBAQEBAQEBlSWgQFGEDDBAIDMAb+YQAAAYAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA/gBMR1BoaWxpcHNMQ0QKAAAA/gBMUDE3MVdYMi1BNEs1APU= DRM.card0.VGA.1: status: disconnected enabled: disabled dpms: On modes: edid-base64: Date: Fri Mar 18 14:16:31 2011 DistUpgraded: Log time: 2011-03-18 13:49:54.777538 DistroCodename: natty DistroVariant: ubuntu GraphicsCard: ATI Technologies Inc Radeon Mobility X700 (PCIE) [1002:5653] (prog-if 00 [VGA controller]) Subsystem: Acer Incorporated [ALI] Device [1025:007f] InstallationMedia: Ubuntu 11.04 "Natty Narwhal" - Alpha i386 (20110311) MachineType: Acer Aspire 9500 PccardctlIdent: Socket 0: no product info available PccardctlStatus: Socket 0: no card ProcEnviron: LANGUAGE=fr_FR:en LANG=fr_FR.UTF-8 SHELL=/bin/bash ProcKernelCmdLine: BOOT_IMAGE=/boot/vmlinuz-2.6.38-7-generic root=UUID=1ee211fa-1dc9-4e18-831d-68135dc4aa98 ro quiet splash vt.handoff=7 Renderer: Unknown SourcePackage: xorg Symptom: display UpgradeStatus: Upgraded to natty on 2011-03-18 (0 days ago) dmi.bios.date: 02/27/2006 dmi.bios.vendor: Acer dmi.bios.version: V1.70 dmi.board.name: Stork dmi.board.vendor: COMPAL dmi.board.version: * dmi.chassis.type: 10 dmi.chassis.vendor: COMPAL dmi.chassis.version: * dmi.modalias: dmi:bvnAcer:bvrV1.70:bd02/27/2006:svnAcer:pnAspire9500:pvr:rvnCOMPAL:rnStork:rvr*:cvnCOMPAL:ct10:cvr*: dmi.product.name: Aspire 9500 dmi.sys.vendor: Acer version.compiz: compiz 1:0.9.4-0ubuntu7 version.libdrm2: libdrm2 2.4.23-1ubuntu3 version.libgl1-mesa-glx: libgl1-mesa-glx 7.10.1-0ubuntu3 version.xserver-xorg: xserver-xorg 1:7.6~3ubuntu11 version.xserver-xorg-video-ati: xserver-xorg-video-ati 1:6.14.0-0ubuntu2 version.xserver-xorg-video-intel: xserver-xorg-video-intel 2:2.14.0-4ubuntu2 version.xserver-xorg-video-nouveau: xserver-xorg-video-nouveau 1:0.0.16+git20110107+b795ca6e-0ubuntu5 ** Affects: xorg (Ubuntu) Importance: Undecided Status: New ** Tags: apport-bug compiz-0.9 corruption i386 natty running-unity ubuntu -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu-X, which is subscribed to xorg in ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/737543 Title: Menus appear corrupted for some ms _______________________________________________ Mailing list: https://launchpad.net/~ubuntu-x-swat Post to : ubuntu-x-swat@lists.launchpad.net Unsubscribe : https://launchpad.net/~ubuntu-x-swat More help : https://help.launchpad.net/ListHelp
