I can confirm this problem. I installed Ubuntu 11.04 x86 Server Edition on an Acer Aspire and ubuntu detected de:nodeadkeys as my keyboard. So I thought everything is alright, but when the installation completed I recognized that the keyboard was wrong. Instead of the chosen QWERTZ it was an

Hi, I just started to install the finally released Natty Narwhal (Alternate 64bit) and I choosed German in the first dialog. Further on I choosed the german keyboard layout by testing my keyboard. I pressed + and y (or other way round?) and I got the right answer for the german no deadkeys.

I found out what caused the Problem. I mapped the ctr keys on the (cmd =window) keys. If i remove this mapping i can choose the Keyboard Layout again and get the right (German) Layout. So there is a probleme with the ctrl/alt key remapping function. -- You received this bug notification
