Public bug reported: Binary package hint: xserver-xorg-video-ati
I have an hp dv7-6000er laptop with two graphic cards: integrated Radeon HD 4200 and dicrete Radeon HD 6650m card. I tried both opensource and proprietary drivers, but still while the integrated card is working, the discrete is not. I'm using Linux Mint 10 Julia (ubuntu 10.10), 64-bit. Here is some output : aticonfig --list-adapters * 0. 01:05.0 ATI Mobility Radeon HD 4200 Series * - Default adapter lspci 01:05.0 VGA compatible controller: ATI Technologies Inc M880G [Mobility Radeon HD 4200] Both cards worked under windows 7 but not under linux. It seems that my issue may be somehow related to this one: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/xserver-xorg-video-ati/+bug/768340 ** Affects: xserver-xorg-video-ati (Ubuntu) Importance: Undecided Status: New -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu-X, which is subscribed to xserver-xorg-video-ati in Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/777674 Title: Discrete Radeon HD 6650m video card is not detected _______________________________________________ Mailing list: https://launchpad.net/~ubuntu-x-swat Post to : ubuntu-x-swat@lists.launchpad.net Unsubscribe : https://launchpad.net/~ubuntu-x-swat More help : https://help.launchpad.net/ListHelp
