I uninstalled Ubuntu completely cleaned up the files. etc. and
reinstalled it now my keyboard works. I have no idea what happened
there. but all i know it could of been a software conflict with the
11.o4. So thank you for everything.. there must of been a bug conflict.

try hitting the key while on the console.. does it work?

you don't need the enter key to get to the console, just hit ctrl-alt-F1
for instance..

Enter Key
Tried External usb keyboard. which the enter key still does not work so
it has to be a software issue with Ubuntu 11.04. Ever since 11.04 was
installed computer has never worked correctly. Whne is an update coming
out. I hpe you people can get the bugs worked out. soon thanks

If it worked for a month, then your enter key is probably broken. Do you
have windows installed and does it work there? Does it work in the
virtual terminal (ctrl-alt-F1 to find the first one, -F7 to get back to
the desktop)?

Enter Key does not work after installing
How can I enter the key when the enter key on the keyboard doesnt work?
No this computer doesnt have Windows, it is fullly Ubuntu . Never had
any problems until 11.04 . How can the enter key be broken? Not like I
abused it. In order for me to use enter I have to use The accessory

Even after being suggested to use xev to find out event . now what? how
to fix? what to do? how. seen alot of posts about bugs a issues with
11.04. was opened too soon.? Very frustrated now have to use on board
accessory to type in ENTER, I was asked to post a bug report Need a bug
