I build my own X server packages without patches 504, 503 or 502. In
those cases pressure is properly recognised from both evemu recordings.
With patch 502 it is not. Using the Wacom directly works on both (but

By the way, I tested this just now and the desktop is still corrupted
but there is no grainy layer; the areas that are painted, they are

I was able to set 16bit depth.
In /etc/lightdm/lightdm.conf I appended
xserver-command=X -depth 16
no quotes.
Things appear much better now. The status bar in the upper right now
displays all the icons and gadgets, before it was just blank.

Scott, I've just uploaded a new version of xorg (which builds
x11-common), could you verify if you have /etc/gdm left after the
update? I hope it'll get removed on upgrade now that there are no
conffiles left in the directory.
Otherwise the x11-common.preinst script would need changing, and it's
note that the new package has no changes related to this bug, just that
the unpack phase should (?) remove /etc/gdm now that it's empty.. here's
hoping.

I've had the same issue as LiKwiiD.
I installed the psmouse-alps-dkms and couldn't get it to work.
sudo rmmod psmouse and sudo modprobe psmouse hung the system. On reboot the
mouse wasn't detected.
After purging the package, but the touchpad is still not usable, it's not

I am also severely affected by this bug in Natty and desperately looking
at least for a workaround. Below there is a stack trace of my simple
gtk-application crashing in pixman_image_composite32() - I'm not sure if

Fixed in Mesa 7.12.
[00:29:37] Sarvatt ScottK: definitely, I did look at your bug but I'm
a bit stumped at it. the kwin backtrace was because DRI got ripped out
from under it when the GPU reset and disabled acceleration which mesa
couldn't cope with (that specific kwin segfault is fixed in mesa
I guess it may be caused by Adobe Flash plug-in, for right now it
happened again on 32-bit system. It seems each time, there is a firefox
with flash page opened.
