The problem was fglrx-installer got binary copied from xorg-edgers to x-updates for some reason so it kept the libdrm dependencies from xorg- edgers. Looking at it more I think it happened because the orig.tar.gz's dont match between karmics and jauntys in there so it was preventing rebuilds :)
