No, it does not restore the blanked screen. In fact I'm not sure how far
in the booting process it gets: When I close (or open, depending on the

supported by the Nouveau driver, supplied with Ubuntu.

The PPA patch seems to have fixed the problem for me. Using Google
Chrome would cause a lockup within five minutes before, so far no

I spoke too soon. Easystroke is working now. But it just crashed. I

I dont use twinview becouse the ability to have two independant desktops
works much better for me.
Xrandr sadly dosent see my two monitors. Only my laptops monitor is
detected, also nvidia-settings is alot more userfriendly imo. I still

The latest updates caused two changes to the behavior.
1) the touchpad now works after logging out (I discovered this morning,
just before doing the update that it didn't work on the login screen if
you logged out, it only worked on the login screen on
Sadly it's 11.04 now. I still suffered from this bug. I am working on Ubuntu
11.04 Beta2 with nouveau 3D driver.
The system halts any time.

* I boot my notebook, log in automatically (into Ubuntu classic - no effects

I forgot to add that I have not tested the buggy behaviour when running
on power supply cable. I tested it only when running on battery power.

I noticed from the list-props output that the touchpad is disabled, so I
tried:
xinput set-int-prop 15 Device Enabled 8 1
It didn't work, the device still remains disabled. (15 is the device ID
for my touchpad)

Natty: touchpad cursor freezes after closing a re-opening the lid

immediately disabling kwin effects. After enabling by alt+shift+f12, any
