Using fglrx or fglrx-updates it's no problem with suspend and resume, while using discrete card (not workaround for me). I disabled Radeon card (in BIOS) and using i915. [Ubuntu-x-swat] [Bug 977588] Re: GPU hangs with PGRAPH TLB flush idle timeout fail
Christopher, thanks for reply. A have a comment and few questions. I have 14.04 LTS installed. I can only boot into X with nomodeset in options. in other cases i got my screen screwed up and system in infinite loop. shall i follow following procedure or do something different? 1. install xdiagnose 2. reboot without nomodeset option. have driver crash 3. reboot with nomodeset or just to text mode and extract logs for you? right? I also have just downloaded latest vivid-desktop-amd64.iso, however, its strange, but i can't boot from it yet, syslinux show error something about partition... then about comrgb.c32 or something like that. will try it again later. -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu-X, which is subscribed to xserver-xorg-video-nouveau in Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/977588 Title: GPU hangs with PGRAPH TLB flush idle timeout fail To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/xserver-xorg-video-nouveau/+bug/977588/+subscriptions ___ Mailing list: https://launchpad.net/~ubuntu-x-swat Post to : ubuntu-x-swat@lists.launchpad.net Unsubscribe : https://launchpad.net/~ubuntu-x-swat More help : https://help.launchpad.net/ListHelp

Getting what appears to be a less-serious version of this bug on Debian Testing with the Intel driver from Experimental (2:2.99.916+git20141119-1~exp1). Thank you for taking the time to report this bug and helping to make Ubuntu better. Reviewing your dmesg attachment in this bug report it seems that there is a problem with your hardware. I recommend performing a back up and then investigating the situation. Measures you might take include checking cable connections and using software tools to investigate the health of your hardware. [Ubuntu-x-swat] [Bug 1026046] Re: Missing support for thumb resting on bottom of clickpad
A workaround is to use the mtrack driver if it supports your touchpad driver. Install xserver-xorg-input-mtrack, then create a file in /etc/X11/xorg.conf.d/10-mtrack.conf like the following: http://pastebin.com/WvZmKwMV Of course, this isn't ideal as you have to use gestures for things like right-click, and doesn't work with unity autohide, but solves the problem of finger resting. -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu-X, which is subscribed to xserver-xorg-input-synaptics in Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1026046 Title: Missing support for thumb resting on bottom of clickpad To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/xserver-xorg-input-synaptics/+bug/1026046/+subscriptions ___ Mailing list: https://launchpad.net/~ubuntu-x-swat Post to : ubuntu-x-swat@lists.launchpad.net Unsubscribe : https://launchpad.net/~ubuntu-x-swat More help : https://help.launchpad.net/ListHelp

[Ubuntu-x-swat] [Bug 1397348] Re: [Toshiba Qosmio X505-Q880] GT215 crash PGRAPH TLB flush idle timeout fail
Anton Viktorov, thank you for reporting this and helping make Ubuntu better. Could you please test the latest upstream kernel available from the very top line at the top of the page (the release names are irrelevant for testing, and please do not test the daily folder) following https://wiki.ubuntu.com/KernelMainlineBuilds ? It will allow additional upstream developers to examine the issue. If the test did not allow you to test to the issue (ex. you couldn't boot into the OS) please make a comment in your report about this, and continue to test the next most recent kernel version until you can test to the issue. Once you've tested the upstream kernel, please comment on which kernel version specifically you tested. If this bug is fixed in the mainline kernel, please add the following tags: kernel-fixed-upstream kernel-fixed-upstream-VERSION-NUMBER where VERSION-NUMBER is the version number of the kernel you tested exactly shown as: kernel-fixed-upstream-3.18-rc6 This can be done by clicking on the yellow circle with a black pencil icon next to the word Tags located at the bottom of the bug description. If the mainline kernel does not fix this bug, please add the following tags: kernel-bug-exists-upstream kernel-bug-exists-upstream-VERSION-NUMBER Once testing of the upstream kernel is complete, please mark this bug's Status as Confirmed. Please let us know your results. Thank you for your understanding. ** Tags added: vivid ** Package changed: xorg (Ubuntu) = linux (Ubuntu) ** Changed in: linux (Ubuntu) Importance: Undecided = Low ** Changed in: linux (Ubuntu) Status: New = Incomplete -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu-X, which is subscribed to xorg in Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1397348 Title: [Toshiba Qosmio X505-Q880] GT215 crash PGRAPH TLB flush idle timeout fail To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/linux/+bug/1397348/+subscriptions ___ Mailing list: https://launchpad.net/~ubuntu-x-swat Post to : ubuntu-x-swat@lists.launchpad.net Unsubscribe : https://launchpad.net/~ubuntu-x-swat More help : https://help.launchpad.net/ListHelp

[Ubuntu-x-swat] [Bug 1396019] Re: ubuntu 14.04
AboAlfadl, thank you for taking the time to report this and helping to make Ubuntu better. Unfortunately, we cannot work on this bug because your description didn't include enough information. You may find it helpful to read How to report bugs effectively http://www.chiark.greenend.org.uk/~sgtatham/bugs.html and https://wiki.ubuntu.com/ReportingBugs . We'd be grateful if you would then provide a more complete description of the problem. [Ubuntu-x-swat] [Bug 1396011] Re: (i915) Black screen resuming from suspend
Nikke, thank you for reporting this and helping make Ubuntu better. ** Package changed: xserver-xorg-video-intel (Ubuntu) = linux (Ubuntu) ** Changed in: linux (Ubuntu) Importance: Undecided = Medium ** Changed in: linux (Ubuntu) Status: New = Incomplete -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu-X, which is subscribed to xserver-xorg-video-intel in Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1396011 Title: (i915) Black screen resuming from suspend To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/linux/+bug/1396011/+subscriptions ___ Mailing list: https://launchpad.net/~ubuntu-x-swat Post to : ubuntu-x-swat@lists.launchpad.net Unsubscribe : https://launchpad.net/~ubuntu-x-swat More help : https://help.launchpad.net/ListHelp

[Ubuntu-x-swat] [Bug 1397492] [NEW] intel driver with SNA as AccelMethod SNA has slow (~2-3 seconds) VTY switch time
Public bug reported: Background: * in ubuntu 14.04 uxa was the default AccelMethod - switching vty takes nearly no time at all. * in ubuntu 14.10 sna is the default AccelMethod - switching vty takes 2-3 seconds and the screen blanks and then returns. By switching the AccelMethod back to 'uxa' in ubuntu 14.10 the 2-3 second vty switch time goes away (becomes near instant again!). I am reporting this bug to ubuntu because I am not sure if it is xmir sna related or not. ** Affects: xserver-xorg-video-intel (Ubuntu) Importance: Undecided Status: New -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu-X, which is subscribed to xserver-xorg-video-intel in Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1397492 Title: intel driver with SNA as AccelMethod SNA has slow (~2-3 seconds) VTY switch time To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/xserver-xorg-video-intel/+bug/1397492/+subscriptions ___ Mailing list: https://launchpad.net/~ubuntu-x-swat Post to : ubuntu-x-swat@lists.launchpad.net Unsubscribe : https://launchpad.net/~ubuntu-x-swat More help : https://help.launchpad.net/ListHelp
[Ubuntu-x-swat] [Bug 1395733] Re: I can't say what is wrong
RainerW, thank you for taking the time to report this and helping to make Ubuntu better. [Ubuntu-x-swat] [Bug 1397472] Re: movies
Sam, thank you for reporting this and helping make Ubuntu better. As per www.dell.com/support/home/us/en/19/product-support/product/latitude-e4310/drivers an update to your BIOS is available (A14). If you update to this following https://help.ubuntu.com/community/BIOSUpdate does it change anything? If it doesn't, could you please both specify what happened, and provide the output of the following terminal command: sudo dmidecode -s bios-version sudo dmidecode -s bios-release-date For more on BIOS updates and linux, please see https://help.ubuntu.com/community/ReportingBugs#Bug_reporting_etiquette . Please note your current BIOS is already in the Bug Description, so posting this on the old BIOS would not be helpful. As well, you don't have to create a new bug report. Once the BIOS is updated, then please mark this report Status New. Thank you for your understanding. ** Tags added: bios-outdated-a14 ** Changed in: xorg (Ubuntu) Importance: Undecided = Low ** Changed in: xorg (Ubuntu) Status: New = Incomplete -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu-X, which is subscribed to xorg in Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1397472 Title: movies To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/xorg/+bug/1397472/+subscriptions ___ Mailing list: https://launchpad.net/~ubuntu-x-swat Post to : ubuntu-x-swat@lists.launchpad.net Unsubscribe : https://launchpad.net/~ubuntu-x-swat More help : https://help.launchpad.net/ListHelp
