[Ubuntu-x-swat] [Bug 1414694] [NEW] drm for intel graphics card fails
Public bug reported: Hello, After several updates without a reboot my system crashed finally while i tried to disable alt+ mouse movement in Unity... another story. But now the xserver refuses to come up.. The bug seems to be this one here: https://www.libreoffice.org/bugzilla/show_bug.cgi?id=82368 Sorry if I do not link to the source because libreoffice seems not to be the original place for xorg bugs to be reported. [Ubuntu-x-swat] [Bug 1396361] Re: Double Mouse Cursor
This bug also affects the Nautilus file manager (and Image Viewer, Fotoxx, more). Click and drag any image icon. Presto! Your mouse cursor is changed into a smaller version of that icon, with an arrow in its upper left and a second arrow in its upper right. This is nice while you're dragging. But, and this is the new probem, you then remain stuck with that weird, wrong mouse cursor until you log out of the session or shut down! This wrong behavior seems restricted to Ubuntu 14.10; 14.04 remains okay. [Ubuntu-x-swat] [Bug 297143]
Interesting that this bug is still marked as unconfirmed. I can clearly see it myself on my laptop running Ubuntu 14.04. It's not that clear to me yet when it directly starts but it might have something to do with hibernation. When it occurs the CPU load of Xorg and compiz is raising up to 60% and stays at this level until the application gets closed. In my case it is mostly Thunderbird. I have updated to Ubuntu 14.10 now, and will closely watch this problem over the next couple of days to maybe find a pattern to reproduce. -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu-X, which is subscribed to xorg in Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/297143 Title: Xorg eats processor cycles while waiting for slow Internet To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/firefox/+bug/297143/+subscriptions ___ Mailing list: https://launchpad.net/~ubuntu-x-swat Post to : ubuntu-x-swat@lists.launchpad.net Unsubscribe : https://launchpad.net/~ubuntu-x-swat More help : https://help.launchpad.net/ListHelp
