[Ubuntu-x-swat] [Bug 1568429] Re: Radeon won't work with KMS enabled
Yes, Catalyst has been the only driver that has been working for me so far. I don't believe the radeon driver was working before either, I remember having a similar problem when I upgraded to 15.10. Thanks for the debugging tip. However it didn't work. Immediately after running the modprobe command the screens go blank, lose signal input, and then after about 5 seconds the machine reboots. After logging in again, I found that dmesg didn't have a chance to pipe its output to the file either. [Ubuntu-x-swat] [Bug 1573520] [NEW] Data race in libxcb1
Public bug reported: There's a data race in libxcb1_1.10-2ubuntu1_amd64 which is reproduced when running Virtualbox with 3D acceleration enabled. This bug relates to Bug #1179617. Below is stack trace of this data race. This bug was fixed by upstream three years ago but it hasn't merged into our code. I have patched my library and Virtualbox haven't crashed since then. [Ubuntu-x-swat] [Bug 1556459] Re: [Lenovo ThinkPad W530] Regression: cannot set up 3 display configuration any more (Optimus)
I just upgraded from 15.10 to 16.04. I was using a 3 monitor configuration with no problem, but after the upgrade's reboot, it came up with all three monitors mirrored. Attempting to use the System Settings/Screen Display shows the 'Mirror displays' box checked. Attempting to change the configuration shows that the monitors have been detected correctly and I can select their size/etc. Unfortunately, clicking 'Apply' results in the error : "Failed to apply configuration: %s GCBus.Error:org.freedesktop.DBus.Error.UnknownMethod: No such interface 'org.gnome.SettingsDaemon.XRANDR_2' on object at path /org/ gnome/SettingsDaemon/XRANDR" It's a pretty disappointing upgrade, tbh. -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu-X, which is subscribed to xorg in Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1556459 Title: [Lenovo ThinkPad W530] Regression: cannot set up 3 display configuration any more (Optimus) To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/xorg/+bug/1556459/+subscriptions ___ Mailing list: https://launchpad.net/~ubuntu-x-swat Post to : ubuntu-x-swat@lists.launchpad.net Unsubscribe : https://launchpad.net/~ubuntu-x-swat More help : https://help.launchpad.net/ListHelp
