Just a thought... Xmir makes heavy use of callbacks to schedule frames

After the display is working, I left the computer and returned to the lock
screen. At the lock screen, the internal display blanked when the cursor was

I just installed kernel 4.4.0-23.41 from xenial-proposed and it seems to

Check if switching to a VC (Ctrl-Alt-F1) and back (Alt-F7) fixes the

Ok, I figured out hte EGL issue, it was my misunderstanding. Modifying the
tools to act correctly, I get this for eglinfo:

and the qteglchooser correctly chooses a valid Mir EGL config. Why Qt itself
cannot do this, I have yet to understand.

Thanks, Alkis, then I understand better. Sounds like the Greek issue is
quite the opposite to the Togo issue then...
I have also noticed that IBus doesn't come preinstalled on MATE.
However, gnome-language-selector UI works the same there, i.e. if you
*explicitly* select "none", the ~/.xinputrc
Oops. The /correct/ use case for -rootless was never implemented.
Although Unity8 doesn't use that yet, it would be the simple case to
deal with first before addressing this enhancement.
