[Ubuntu-x-swat] [Bug 1633075] Re: xkb configuration

2016-10-13 Thread Sebastien Bacher
Thank you for taking the time to report this bug and helping to make
Ubuntu better. Unfortunately, we cannot work on this bug because your
description didn't include enough information. You may find it helpful
to read "How to report bugs effectively"
http://www.chiark.greenend.org.uk/~sgtatham/bugs.html. We'd be grateful
if you would then provide a more complete description of the problem.

We have instructions on debugging some types of problems at
http://wiki.ubuntu.com/DebuggingProcedures.

At a minimum, we need:
1. The specific steps or actions you took that caused you to encounter the
problem.
2. The behavior you expected.
3. The behavior you actually encountered (in as much detail as possible).
Thanks!

Same issue here on multiple dell latitudes E6540 laptops in company

suspend. Almost every open application is affected with
distorted/missing letters. Looks like

logging out and in again), fixed the situation.

[Ubuntu-x-swat] [Bug 1631288] Re: XV video screen always on top

2016-10-13 Thread dabrain
Hello Timo,

I guess that's the patch you are takking about:

https://patchwork.kernel.org/patch/8454821/

Is there any chance we get this patch in 16.04 ?

[Ubuntu-x-swat] [Bug 1631288] Re: XV video screen always on top

2016-10-13 Thread Timo Aaltonen
No, xserver-xorg-video-intel is available, but it's not used by default
on most hw. Instead they use the default modesetting driver and 2D
acceleration is provided by glamor. Glamor is used on radeon/amdgpu/some
nouveau as well.

[Ubuntu-x-swat] [Bug 1632593] Re: Xorg does not utilize the 3D graphics acceleration capabilities of my device

2016-10-13 Thread Timo Aaltonen
You've manually removed it then, before it got the update for #1572855
which would've un-diverted the file. There's no other way to explain
it..

[Ubuntu-x-swat] [Bug 1631288] Re: XV video screen always on top

2016-10-13 Thread dabrain
I'm not sure to catch the fix.
Have you removed the intel X driver from 16.10 ? Are we not accelerated anymore
with 16.10 distribution?
