Tried booting the system with linux-image-4.4.0-154-generic. X works on this
kernel.
Tried booting the system with linux-image-4.15.0-47-generic. X works on this
kernel.
Presumably there is some bad interaction between the nvidia module and
4.15.0-55-generic.
