Since I upgraded from Ubuntu 19.10 to 20.04 my multi monitor setup is
broken. I put the screens into the shape of an H. The center screen is
in landscape and to each side one screen in portrait/pivot orientation.

I had a few attempts at logging in at 11:37 or so, which gave me no clue
as to what was going on, so I moved to a TTY and poked around for a bit.

Solved this (and some other issues) for me by installing the mainline kernel
Used the "mainline" script for that
e.g. with instructions from
