The bug seems to be fixed by itself, in a latest kernel. So I'm closing

As you said nothing interesting in the logs but indeed you find a good
observation about lucid (2.6.32-25-generic). If you could provide me the evtest
log for both the kernels (working and non working), I can confirm the bug.

Synaptic multi touch not working on acer aspire one d150

will have to help us a bit further. Please Upload the outputs of the
following commands by typing them in terminal
1. cat /proc/bus/input/devices ~/devices.txt
2. xinput -list --long ~/xinput.txt
3. cat /var/log/Xorg.0.log
. I'd be happy just to get 2 fingered middle click working.
Also upload the output of synclient -m 100 ~/synclient.txt depicting
the middle button click and also describe how you do it physically ie
How to reproduce it on the touchpad...
If possible also upload a photograph of your touchpad..

Your two finger scroll seemed to work with the workaround but can you
see the button 'Two finger Scroll' in your SystemPrefrencesMouse under
the Touchpad tab. Is the button active or

two finger scroll/multitouch trackpad not working on lenovo
There is indeed no bug in kernel, as against so many normal case. This
seems to a different case though. Please include the output of ..
1.synclient -m 100 ~/synclient.txt
2.xinput -list --long ~/xinput.txt
Both in seperate comments..
