[Ubuntu-x-swat] [Bug 1638778] [NEW] Wacom touch screen on lenovo X201t stopped working after upgrading from 14.04 to 16.04

2016-11-02 Thread Alan Jackson
Public bug reported:

I recently changed from Ubuntu 14.04 to 16.04. I re-installed from
scratch as I was moving from 32bit to 64bit.

My lenovo x201 tablet's touch screen and stylus did work fine with 32bit
14.04.

Now the touch screen is not even recognised.

It does not show up in System Settings > Wacom Tablet

Running:
xsetwacom --list devices

returns nothing.

sudo lshw | grep wacom

returns nothing.

xinput returns:

⎡ Virtual core pointer id=2[master pointer (3)]
⎜ ↳ Virtual core XTEST pointerid=4[slave pointer (2)]
⎜ ↳ SynPS/2 Synaptics TouchPadid=11 [slave pointer (2)]

...but no mention of the wacom touchscreen.

The following file is present on my system:

it contains the following:

[Ubuntu-x-swat] [Bug 568492] Re: Fonts corrupted on Openoffice menus and Lotus Notes 8.5 with nvidia, compiz, twinview and subpixel smoothing.

2011-08-13 Thread Alan Jackson
Spoke too soon, ttyscroll=0 only improved things, it stills fails with
regularity.

[Ubuntu-x-swat] [Bug 568492] Re: Fonts corrupted on Openoffice menus and Lotus Notes 8.5 with nvidia, compiz, twinview and subpixel smoothing.

2011-07-24 Thread Alan Jackson
I run Nvidia, ubuntu 10.04, and twinview. I originally saw this under
kubuntu when I upgraded in Claws. I quickly switched to Gnome which
fixed that problem, but then I saw it in gvim - not always, but most of
the time. I haven't had any problem with OpenOffice. I fixed it by set
ttyscroll=0 in my .vimrc, which says do a redraw when you scroll.

[Ubuntu-x-swat] [Bug 502032] Re: [karmic] periodic crashes in active use, returning to gdm login. nvidia-glx-173 (nvidia 5200)

2010-10-23 Thread Alan Jackson
I haven't had a crash in quite some time. Of course it tended to be once or
twice a month so it may take awhile. I'm now running 185.18.36 on Karmic.
GeForce 6200 TurboCache(TM)
I recently added a second head, and it seems to be performing fine.
