All my tearing issues on nvidia are fixed when enabling force full screen
redraws on repaint in workarounds section of compizconfig. No need to
disable composite. Ubuntu should have some smart hardware detection and
apply the right tweaks automagically.

vblank. Also under composite disable detect refresh rate and set it to

reaches 90+ C and the fan goes crazy for 4 seconds full speed then slows down

Confirmed on a gtx 260. Moving around windows is also jerky and
everything feels slow and sluggish making compiz effects look terrible.
I think i should have waited with the upgrade :(

Oh and just noticed when clicking on Places and hovering with your mouse
over them up and down makes Xorg use up to 55% CPU. A serious
showstopper bug.
