Public bug reported: I'm using a Thinkpad T420 with Nvidia 4200M (Optimus). I've been successfully using Ubuntu 12.04 and now 12.10 with Bumblebee and the Ubuntu provided Nvidia drivers for a while.
Today - wanting to get the latest release of the Nvidia 310 series driver, I installed xorg-edgers, upgraded the system and installed nvidia-310. After the reboot (to kernel 3.7), bumblebee starts fine but optirun fails to run any 3D application - e.g. glxgears. I get this error: $ optirun glxgears X Error of failed request: BadWindow (invalid Window parameter) Major opcode of failed request: 154 (NV-GLX) Minor opcode of failed request: 4 () Resource id in failed request: 0x200002 Serial number of failed request: 37 Current serial number in output stream: 37 I've tried the other Nvidia drivers from xorg-edgers (304 and 313) but all behave the same. I then tried to install the standard Nvidia drivers but these won't build against kernel 3.7. Aside from that, everything works fine.
