You have been subscribed to a public bug: I was delighted when I first tried Hardy. Pleasantly satisfied with Intrepid, as it fixed my issue with needing to download Wicd so I can use my wireless without tweaking after each boot. So, I was excited when I did a fresh install of Jaunty. Thus, it was an unpleasant surprise that this "improved" distro (Jaunty) left me with a non-working Elantech touchpad. :-)
I have scoured the forums and I still have to find a solution to this problem. Aside from this, I must commend the hard work Ubuntu-team has been putting into to this "near-good-enough-alternative" OS normal users like myself. ** Affects: xserver-xorg-input-synaptics (Ubuntu) Importance: Undecided Status: New -- Elantech is not working https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/370662 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu-X, which is subscribed to xserver-xorg-input-synaptics in ubuntu. _______________________________________________ Mailing list: https://launchpad.net/~ubuntu-x-swat Post to : ubuntu-x-swat@lists.launchpad.net Unsubscribe : https://launchpad.net/~ubuntu-x-swat More help : https://help.launchpad.net/ListHelp
