This is happening to me since today after applying the latest updates. I
updated 5 days ago so the bug is between the last 5 days and today. It
shows like this. After doing the complete update process I reboot it and
after the login screen (lightdm) I get a black screen. If I press
CTRL+ALT+BCKSPC
Hmm, nothing obvious in the logs.
I see this is a fresh install of Ubuntu. Was it working properly in the
installer and/or livecd environment?
Have you had other versions of Ubuntu installed on the system
previously?
