Hi Nikos, Thanks for taking the time to report this. Are you sure that this is not just a problem with ecasound?
I use Ubuntu Studio, and I just tried the CMT 1 second delay with Jack Rack, and also Carla which is available in our Backports ppa. The plug in worked fine without crashing. I didn't try ecasound, which I am not familiar with. For your information, I just synced the latest cmt from Debian (1.17) to Ubuntu Eoan (to become 19.10) if you are game to test that version.
