Thanks for your report. It does not sound as an ibus bug to me, though, but rather a KDE one. Or sddm. Or a support request.. On KDE you should be able to add the "Input Method Panel" widget and relogin. That will replace the IBus icon with a better-loooking KDE one. Can you try that and let us
